Registering for 2026 Season
2026 Season Registration Process | Souths United FC
This year, Football Queensland (FQ) and Football Australia (FA) have maintaing the two system registration process for 2026. It involves two systems/steps:
- PlayFootball v2.0 (FA): For FA fees and PlayFootball Registration component
- Squadi (FQ): For club fees and FQ fees and finalising Football Queensland Registration component
What you need to do
When you log into Squadi, you will first be prompted by a pop-up link to complete your Football Australia PlayFootball registration first for the 2026 season.
This first step is mandatory so please do the following:
Follow the instructions provided, which will require you to:
- Log into PlayFootball
- Search for your club
- Select the appropriate National registration product
- Self-complete your PlayFootballregistration in full

Once your PlayFootball registration is complete, you can then continue and complete your Football Queensland competition access process in Squadi as per normal.
Important reminder
Both of the following are mandatory under regulation before you are eligible to participate in the 2026 season:

Football Queensland competition access via Squadi-
- You will be automatically directed via a pop-up box to PlayFootball from Squadi.
Important: To participate in fixtures, you must complete your Squadi registration before attending training sessions and/or as age applicable, grading sessions.
How to Register via Squadi
Step 1: Squadi Registration: https://registration.squadi.com/
- Log into Squadi and select Player under Membership Details.
- Choose the correct age group:
- Players 11 years and under (born 2015 or later): Select “MINIROOS – PLAYER,” then click “Add Competition and Membership”:
- U6-U8: Self-explanatory.
- U9-U11 (boys and mixed teams): Select “Quokka” or “Wallaby.” Team allocations will be dependent on upcoming grading outcomes.
- U9-U11 (female-only teams): Select “Girls.”
- Players 12 years and over (born 2014 or earlier): Select “OUTDOOR PLAYER – JUNIOR – PLAYER” and then your age group and preference of “Mixed” or “Girls”
- Players 11 years and under (born 2015 or later): Select “MINIROOS – PLAYER,” then click “Add Competition and Membership”:
- Play with a Friend: Use this section to request playing with friends or staying in the same team as 2025. Add 2025 team/friends’ names here (max 3 friends as per FQ rules). We’ll accommodate as many requests as possible.
- Complete the required questions, including your FFA number (if known).
- Choose a payment option: Upfront or Instalments (details below).
Important: Use a Valid Email Address
Please register with an email address you check regularly. Throughout the season, important updates (schedules, notices, event details) will be sent to this address.
- Check your spam/junk folder for emails from us (e.g., registration@southsunited.org.au or via the Squadi app) before contacting the office or your coach/manager.
- Staying connected ensures you don’t miss key information!
Payment Options
- Upfront: Full payment in one transaction.
- Instalments: Five monthly payments (Feb–May). The first payment includes the FQ fee.
Processing Fees:
- Direct Debit: 2.0% + $0.30 per transaction.
- Credit Card: 2.2% + $0.30 (AMEX: 2.85% + $0.30).
Play Now Vouchers:
- ALL players aged 6-17 can apply for a $200 voucher through the Queensland Government Play On Program (no longer means tested) to offset your fees.
- ROUND 2 VOUCHERS OPEN 29 JANUARY 2026
- To redeem your Fair Play Voucher, please pay in full in Squadi and email us your voucher at registration@southsunited.org.au for a refund.

Additional Information
Souths United Fees - What Do Fees Cover?
Club Costs:
- Facility upkeep: electricity, gas, field maintenance incl. mowing, aeration, line marking, synthetic field grooming, renovations and repairs.
- Equipment: goals, nets, balls, bibs, flags, alternate spare kits and more.
- Staffing: coaches, technical directors, sports trainers/physio and administrative support
- Admin costs: bookkeeper, audit, system fees and governing body charges,
- Competition Costs: FQ or in-house referees, lighting audits, and software.
- Miscellaneous: Photos, trophies, end-of-season events, insurance, council charges, cleaning etc.
Note – some costs are dependent on the age group and competition level
