SCHOOL HOLIDAY TRAINING SCHEDULE | NEW PLAYERS WELCOME!

As previously indicated, we have been working toward the gradual return of our teams to training and successfully returned teams over the past fortnight.  We have now completed the School Holidays Training Schedule to cater for all our teams to have the opportunity to train over the school holidays. This comes with the return of all our synthetic fields, which are now open for training, allowing us to expand the training schedule.  Please note that some minor works are continuing for the synthetic fields.  In addition to this further work is being undertaken in partnership with BCC which involves, electrical work but also also construction componenets including the male toilets in the clubhouse and showers to changeroom 3 (in clubhouse).  Alternative toilet facilities are being provided.

At present we remain in STAGE 2 and appropriate training plans must be adhered to according to the FQ Return to Training Guidelines.   STAGE 2: Non-Contact activity for up to 20 per defined area (up to 3 groups of 20 per each field).
 
REMINDER: 
 
  • All Coaches, Managers, players and parents/carers have read and acknowledged understanding/acceptance of the Return to Training Guidelines (refer email sent).  Please send your acknowledgement thereof to: administrator@southsunited.org.au 
Players/parents/carers must provide this before their first training session.  A record of acknowledgements received will be maintained by the club.  
  • Note and familiarise yourself with the Site & Access Plan (attached) which indicates entry and exit points for venues and fields, which is important as we must have specific entry and exit points for each playing space.
 
PRIOR TO & ON ARRIVAL TO VENUE
On arrival to training sessions, players must promptly go to their designated area for training, and report to the Attendance Recording Station, to sign in on arrival (this will be required also on departure).  The first training session will include a team induction to expectations when at training. They are not to congregate at any entrance or exit areas.  They will then move to their allocated training field.  Players must note and adhere to the following key points (and further as outlined in the detailed guidelines provided):
  • not arrive more than 25 minutes prior to training
  • not use changerooms (they will be closed), only toilet facilities will be available
  • bring own drink bottle/s with name clearly displayed (no sharing of drink bottles) | ONLY WATER IS PERMITTED ON PITCHES DURING TRAINING
  • when training on synthetic fields, please arrive in alternate footwear and change into playing boots after entry (playing boots must be clean and NO metal tags)
  • maintain social distancing 1.5 metres and hygiene protocols - extra hand sanitiser stations will be set up to assist in this area (we also recommend you carry in your bag a sanitiser for personal use as required).  
  • handling of equipment minimised, no throw-ins, no headers, no handshakes, no high-fives or similar
  • At end of training, no congregating - must leave field / venue per designated exit points.
WHEN NOT TO ATTEND TRAINING
Players must not attend training if in the past 14 days:
  • Have been unwell or had any flu-like symptoms
  • Have been in contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19
  • Have had any respiratory symptoms (even if mild);
  • Are at a high risk from a health perspective, including the elderly and those with pre-existing medical health conditions.
Those with even mild symptoms are strongly encouraged to get tested.
Please advise your Team Manager any time you are unable to attend; and the reason why.
 
We appreciate that previously parents/carers may watch training sessions, however in this initial period parents are encouraged to remain in the car while training takes place, or drop your child/ren off and return close to training finish time to pick up. It is important during this bedding down period, we do not risk breach to the 20 person/group restriction.  Should you have any concern with this approach, please email administrator@southsunited.org.au
 
For safety of our very young players, 1 parent may escort their child/ren to the Attendance Recording Station.  Once your child/ren has been signed in, then the parent must return to the vehicle or leave the designated area until training has finished, at which time they can return to collect their child/ren (maintaining 1.5m social distancing).
