How to Navigate the Souths Website in 2012

Whilst there are still a few minor tweaks to occur, our new website is running well. It’s now time to use it in a more effective and efficient manner.

Home Page

Information that affects the whole Club will be displayed here. Also, information about field closures and changes to training sessions due to wet weather etc. can be found in the Training box on the right side of the page.

Access from the Home Page:

1. About
   • Click on the About tab to see information about the Club
   • Hover over the About tab, and a number of sub-topics appear:
     • Club Officials - Management Committee contacts
     • Club Documents - Club’s Policies, Programs etc
     • Club’s Organisational Structure
     • Club Strip
     • Location and Field Maps
     • Canteen - Operating hours will be displayed in time
     • Life Members
     • Club History
     • Football Partners
2. Photo Gallery
   • ​Click on the Photo Gallery tab to view a list of all photo galleries.
   • Hover over the Photo Gallery tab, and a number of photo galleries appear. This list will change over time as more galleries are added.
3. Coaching Corner
   • ​Click on the Coaching Corner Tab for information pertinent to coaches.
4. Souths Shop
   • ​Click on the Souths Shop Tab for general information about Shop hours etc
   • Hover over the Souths Shop Tab will reveal the Shop Price List.
5. Calendars
   • ​Click on the Calendars Tab to see the Training and Games Calendar
   • Hover over the Calendars Tab to access both the Football Brisbane Season Calendar and the Squirts Calendar
6. 2012 Sign-on
   • ​A very important new addition to the website and the first port of call for all members to visit to get information regarding fees etc and also about self-registering online via My Football Club.
   • Click on the 2012 Sign-on tab to visit the start page of the 2012 Registration Manual. In this you will find all of the information needed to properly register to play at Souths United.
   • Hover over the 2012 Sign-on tab to reveal the various categories of information. The Club Important Information category must be read by ALL players intending on registering to play at Souths United. There is also a section for each of the diffent age groups available in 2012. The sections available include:
     • Instructions for self-registering online:
       • New Player – never played in Australia
       • Player who has played in Australia in the past 5 years but has never self registered via My Football Club
       • Returning player or a player from another Club that has registered via My Football Club
       • Team Leader/Coach/Assistant Coach
       • Team Manager
     • International Clearance Procedures & Forms
     • Club Important Information
     • Squirts
     • Under 6 & Under 7
     • Under 8
     • Under 9 – Under 11
     • Under 12 – Under 17
     • JPL
     • Senior Men’s
     • Senior Women’s

Men/Women/JPL/Juniors/SSF & Squirts

For information relating to individual sections of the Club, there are 2 options:

• To view topic headings (which are linked to the full article), click on the Mens/Womens/JPL/Juniors/SSF & Squirts tab located below the main tabs and just above the main body of the home page.
• To view the topic headings and information about the topic, click on Men/Women/JPL/Juniors/SSF & Squirts tabs at the top of the page. The info about these topics will be very brief but the full article can be viewed by clicking on Read More. These sections can be accessed directly however the Home Page must also be viewed regularly.

Facebook and Twitter

Another new addition to the website is the Facebook and Twitter links. From 2012, communication of important or urgent messages will be conveyed on Facebook and Twitter as well as on the website. Texts and emails will continue to be used.

The Club’s website will continue to be the primary source of information for players, members and friends of Souths United. Now it will be easier too!
