Matildas supported in their quest by Souths United

What a great spectacle it was to see the Matildas play Brazil at QSAC on Sunday 5 April and Wednesday 8 April. Rarely does Brisbane get to see International Womens games so it was a special treat to have 2 games within a matter of days.

Souths were given the honour of providing mascots on both occasions. The young players involved will have some special memories for many years to come getting up close and personal with their heroes. They acquitted themselves beautifully and did the club and themselves proud. At the Sunday game, the mascots were also involved in providing the 2500+ crowd with some half time entertainment when they played a game at QSAC. Our thanks to all the mascots and their parents for their support and for showcasing the Club in spectacular style!

Our own Sienna V was lucky enough to have won the Coin Toss Competition for the Sunday game. She was front and centre during the singing of the National Anthems and also during the coin toss. Very special memories! Congratulations Sienna.
