Football Brisbane Club Referee Course - Expressions of Interest Sought

There is every chance that at some stage during the season, there will be no referees appointed to your game or your child's game (Under 12 to senior mens and womens). This has already occurred in several senior games and also junior grading games. There is a real shortage of referees available and Football Brisbane acknowledge that at least 10% of games each weekend will have no referees appointed. So, what can we do??

Junior games, according to the rules, MUST proceed. Senior games are a little different however it is preferred that they too proceed. So, someone will have to step up and referee the game!!! A daunting task to be sure however with knowledge of the rules and their interpretations, the task is less daunting.

Souths United are seeking expressions of interest from parents, coaches, managers and older siblings to run a Football Brisbane Club Referee Course. Successful participants will then be issued a certificate and be eligible to referee any games at Souths (age dependent) where Football Brisbane Referees are not appointed. Memo 14-28  Club Referee Programme 2014

The course is in 2 parts:
